Getting ready for the mountains

 

    ~ What to Bring with you:

    1. Three pairs of warm clothes

    2. One pull over and one jacket

    3. One raincoat.

    4. Sports shoes

    5. Cotton Socks/Stockings

    6. Woolen cap and gloves

    7. Goggles

    8. Water bottle

    9. Torch

    10. Towel and other sanitary items.

    11. Note pad and pen

 

On your arrival at camp all these things are to be packed in a rucksack, which is easier to carry on the shoulder.

Binoculars and cameras may be brought on one’s own risk.

~ What not to bring with you:
                1. Any disposable plastic item.
                    2. Transistor or radio.
                    3. Tape recorders, stero, walkman.

                    4. Video games

                    5. Ornaments and other valuables
 
~ Equipment: Himalayan Mountain Sojourns will provide sleeping bags, mattresses rucksacks, tents and other technical gear.
 
~ Accommodation and Food: -

                 Twin share tented accommodation: The guests will stay in alpine tents shared by two persons. There will be separate tents for men and women if needed. At base camp toilet tents will be provided but at high altitude camp it will be of make shift kind. You can enjoy hot bath after day’s hard work at base camp but again, at high on the mountain it is not possible to arrange for special bathing facilities at the campsite.

~ Food: Natural nutritious Vegetarian meals
